Super Eagles attacking winger, Samuel Kalu was among the Bordeaux players missing in Monday’s training in France which has been linked to the suspension of international travels in Nigeria due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

pre-season match

Kalu along with Guinea’s Francois Kamano, Edson Mexer of Mozambique, Serbia’s Vuksain Jovanoic, and Spain’s Ruben Pardo were all granted permission to reunite with their families following the suspension of the Ligue 1 in March.

Clubs in France have resumed following the lifting of sporting activities by the authorities.

A tweet from France journalist, Clement Carpentier on Monday revealed that the duo of Mexer and Kalu were still being expected but made no mention of Kamano, Jovanoic and Pardo.

“Soccer ball Samuel Kalu (Nigeria) and Edson Mexer (Mozambique) were absent at the resumption of @girondins because they were unable to return to France (flight restrictions with Africa). France will gradually reopen its external borders in Schengen on July 1 #Bordeaux #Girondins #FCGB,” he tweeted on Monday.
