Surprises as Ghana, Zambia bow in friendly duels

Ghana’s Black Stars and former Nations Cup winners, Zambia fell like a pack of cards in Friday’s international friendly matches to Mali and Kenya respectively.

The Andre Ayew led side played below standard as they were humiliated by Mali 3-0  as Kenya subdued Zambia 2-1 in the keenly contested match.

Even with Jordan Ayew in the match, the Black Stars deployed poor strategy but their efforts were useless by the tough West African side.

Ghana are using the friendly to prepare for the re-start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

In other matches, Morocco beat Senegal 3-1, as Burkina Faso overwhelmed FR Congo 3-0 while Tunisia also overpowered Sudan 3-0 as the Gambia pipped Congo 1-0.
