Nigeria born England international Tammy Abraham was among the first set of Chelsea players to pay tribute to sacked coach Frank Lampard on Monday.
Abraham and teammate Thiago Silva were quick to thank the former Chelsea star and coach for the period they spent together.
Silva took to Instagram to thank Lampard for his help during their short stint together.
“I would like to thank you for everything you and your committee have done for me since the day I arrived,” Silva wrote.
“As I told you, it seemed like we had been together for 10 years!! Thank you for everything legend.”
Silva was one of Chelsea’s arrivals in a summer spend of over £200million under Lampard.
Abraham on the other hand, who was Lampard’s main striker in his first season in charge, posted a picture of them together, writing: “A role model, a mentor & a great manager. Thank you Gaffer.”
Despite what Chelsea management dubbed poor run leading to the sacking of Lampard on Monday,Abraham delivered for him some of the impressive goals in his 571 days in charge at the Stamford Bridge. Abraham who joined the Blues in 2016 has made over 52 appearances for the club with 21 goals to his credit.
