‘These Eagles can outshine Golden Generation of ’94 squad’

Former international, Sani Kaita, has said the present Super Eagles could achieve more than the country’s Golden Generation of 1994, who won the AFCON and reached the knockout rounds of the World Cup.

Kaita, who featured for Nigeria at 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, said the current team are packed with talented youngsters who can be whatever they want to be as a team.

“The present Super Eagles are a very young team, with great talented players. We all need to be patient with them, as there are no easy games these days. I believe they will make us all proud. Let’s keep supporting them,” he said.

“These Eagles have all it takes to even do better than the team of 1994, who are regarded as the best-ever to represent Nigeria.

“But in all honesty, I don’t think they will have the commitment of the boys 1994, let’s just hope they will step up in this direction because I have no doubt the quality is there already.
