Thiago Silva is strongly depending on the approval of Chelsea’s new manager, Thomas Tuchel to open a new contract with the club.
Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tuchel is a huge fan of the Brazilian and is keen to retain his leadership skills.
Romano reported: “Thiago Silva and his agents will discuss with Chelsea about his 1-year contract extension in the coming weeks. No rush.
“Chelsea board so happy with Thiago, Tuchel thinks he’s a great leader – positive feelings. The final decision will be made together with the player.”
The experienced defender has started all three of Tuchel’s games in charge but limped out of Thursday’s 1-0 win over Tottenham.
