To your tent! Ruben Dias Splits With Pop Star Girlfriend

Ruben Dias

Manchester City’s Ruben Dias has allegedly split up with his pop-star girlfriend, April Ivy, of three years over “lifestyle differences.”

Fans have been quick to notice that the Portuguese national has removed all traces of his ex-girlfriend from his social media. The singer is yet to remove her photos of them as a couple.

Portuguese news publication FLASH! reported that the former Benfica player prefers to be discreet on social media, while Ivy likes to put it all out there.

The publication explained that “ the lifestyles, more discreet on the part of the footballer contrasting with the more exuberant side of the artist, ended up becoming irreconcilable.”

A source close to the couple told the publication that they split in July, shortly after their vacation together in Greece. Neither Dias or Ivy have commented about the split yet.

Dias and Ivy began dating at the end of 2018 and she had moved in with him in Manchester ahead of his signing with Man City, while at the same time, betting on her music career in London.

April Ivy, whose real name is Mariana Gonçalves, is a Portuguese singer-songwriter who is best known for her songs ‘Be Ok’ and ‘Tell Me Baby.’

She released ‘Be Ok’ in 2016 as an independent artist and had huge successes with it; reaching the top of the national Spotify, iTunes and YouTube charts as well as top of the national radio airplay list.

Shortly after, she signed with Universal Music France.

The following year, the singer was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Golden Globes Portugal, but she lost to young actress Beatriz Frazão.
