Tomori holds talks with Milan over move

News that AC Milan want to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent deal is not a new development but a potential transfer did take a step closer on Wednesday when the defender met with technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara to discuss his future, according to Sky Sports Italia.

Chelsea defender Tomori joined AC Milan on loan in January but the club have the option to buy him permanently in the summer for only £24 million.

Although the fee might seem quite low for someone who is already a full England international and will develop further at the age of 23, the Italian club are one of many who have seen their finances hit by the Coronavirus pandemic so time will tell whether they will have the funds to activate the option.
