Tottenham consider shock bid for Chelsea defender Rudiger

Tottenham are showing interest in German centre-back Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea.

The defender has found himself down the pecking order under Frank Lampard’s management.

He has not been selected in the squad for several games this season, prompting questions about his future at the club.

And Sky Sports News reports Spurs boss Jose Mourinho wants a centre-back, and would like Rudiger if a deal can be done.

Spurs’ main target is Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, but he may prove too expensive.

If that is the case, they will turn their attention to Rudiger before the transfer window closes.
