Transfer: PSG ‘free’ Mbappe to join Liverpool as astonishing asking price revealed

Paris Saint-Germain once “opened the door” for Kylian Mbappe to join Liverpool, according to a fresh report.

Liverpool are in dire form, currently languishing in ninth place in the Premier League, with an ageing midfield and misfiring attack.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world, fresh off a World Cup in Qatar where he won the Golden Boot and netted a hat-trick in the final.

While it feels unlikely that the France international would move to the current iteration of Liverpool, the Reds were touted as a potential destination for Mbappe, should he leave PSG.

Indeed, late last year Spanish publication Marca claimed the French champions would be unwilling to sell Mbappe to Real Madrid, leaving Liverpool as one of the only options for the want-away forward.

The Athletic have now also claimed PSG attempted to block Mbappe from moving to Real, insisting that any prospective sale would be to Liverpool.

A fresh report explains that in July, Antero Henrique who works as a consultant at PSG, opened the door for Mbappe to leave.
