Manchester City goalkeeper, Zack Steffen, is close to sealing a season-long loan move to Middlesbrough.

The USA international wants to play regularly to cement his position at this year’s World Cup.

Steffen is aware there is no chance he will usurp Ederson as Pep Guardiola’s number one choice.

Guardiola has agreed to let Steffen, whose deal with City runs until 2025, leave.

City have lined up Stefan Ortega to replace him following his exit from German club Arminia Bielefeld.
