Transfer window: How Onuachu influenced Ike Ugbo’s loan move to French club Troyes

Paul Onuachu has again not made the big transfer in the January window and this has now forced fellow striker Ike Ugbo to move on loan to French club Troyes.

Goal King of Belgium last season, Onuachu was widely expected to cash in on his 35 goals in all competitions with a major transfer away from Genk but it did not happen in summer.

Onuachu was also tipped to make the big move in January after he fired his agent Patrick Mork and he continued to score goals, but again he has stayed put at Genk.

Because of this, Ugbo, who was brought in as a possible replacement should Onuachu make that big move, has now been forced to join Troyes on loan till the end of the season.

The French club also have the option to make this transfer permanent.
