Transfer window: Man City face a delay over plans to hire Leeds midfielder Phillips

Manchester City face a delay over plans to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

City have agreed a £42m transfer fee for Phillips, they will have to wait a little longer to complete their move for the England international.

The agreement was reported at the backend of last week but there has been radio silence since the announcement.

However, that is because Phillips is currently away on holiday and was scheduled to return to Leeds on June 30 before the bid was made.

Unless the 26-year-old brings the end of his holiday forward, it is unlikely there will be progress made on the transfer, says Leeds-Live.
