Transfer window: Pogba ‘had agreed personal terms with Man City’

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba had reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester City before backing out of a summer transfer.

The World Cup winner’s six-year spell at Old Trafford is expected to end in six weeks’ time when his contract at United reaches a conclusion.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that United’s neighbours were making an attempt to convince the France international to make the short switch across the city.

According to The Times, a controversial switch appeared on the cards at one stage with the 29-year-old said to have agreed terms over representing the Premier League champions from 2022-23 onwards.

However, the report claims that Pogba has now had second thoughts over the transfer, and will now seemingly move abroad should his exit from United be confirmed.

Juventus are currently regarded as the favourites to secure a reunion for Pogba, who has often spoken highly of his successful stint in Turin before returning to United.
