Troost-Ekong will remain Eagles captain- Finidi
Coach Finidi George has made further clarification on a new captain of the Super Eagles by saying it is not his call to pick one for the team.
“It’s not my responsibility (to pick a captain), it’s the responsibility of the team,” the Super Eagles coach said during his media tour.
“People said (Sunday) Oliseh picked his captain and Finidi George should not do same.

“It’s not my responsibility to pick a captain.
“The players will choose the person they are comfortable with.
“They will be them to decide who wears the captain’s arm band.”
William Ekong has been the Super Eagles stand-in captain in the absence of Ahmed Musa, while Kenneth Omeruo is now the most senior international still in the fold.
