Tyson Fury reveals newborn baby Athena is in intensive care

Tyson Fury’s newborn baby daughter is in intensive care – but he is ‘hopeful’ she will come out.

The Gypsy King announced the birth of Athena on social media on Sunday.

She arrived yesterday morning but needed to be taken into an intensive care unit for immediate support.

Fury wrote on Instagram: “Massive thanks for all the messages and support.

“The baby is in a stable position and doing well – hopefully she comes out of ICU.

“Please keep baby Athena in your prayers.

“Paris is doing great. God bless.”

Fury and wife Paris asked fans and followers to pray for their sixth child when they confirmed she had been delivered.

He wrote: “Please can everyone pray for my baby girl who was born this morning. Athena Fury born 8/8/21. Thanks. God is great.”

Athena is their third daughter – following Venezuela, 11, and Valencia Amber, three.

Their boys are Prince John James, eight, Prince Tyson II, four, and one-year-old Prince Adonis.

SunSport previously reported that the 32-year-old had raced back to the UK for the birth – after coming out of isolation following his Covid diagnosis.

Fury is understood to have tested positive after the virus ripped through his US training camp where he was preparing for a rematch with Deontay Wilder, 35.
