Tyson Fury will return to the famous Kronk Gym after splitting with trainer Ben Davison.

The former heavyweight world champion had been looking for a new coach ahead of his rematch with Deontay Wilder on February 22.

And he will team up with Javan ‘Sugar’ Hill, nephew of the late, great trainer Emmanuel Steward.

Fury took to Instagram to say: “Getting the old team back up and running” along with an old picture of himself with Steward, Hill and former world champion Andy Lee.

Fury sought out Steward, who ran the famous Kronk Gym in Detroit, in 2009 following his win over John McDermott.

He claims he walked into the gym and said, “Where can I find Manny? – I’m Tyson Fury, the future heavyweight champion of the world.”

Fury remained in the city for a month until he had to return home to the UK but always held Steward in high regard.

He later worked with the esteemed trainer as part of Wladimir Klitschko’s camp and was gifted a pair of boxing boots he would wear when he outpointed Klitschko in 2015.

Steward passed away in 2012 but Hill has carried on his uncle’s mantle, reviving the gym and going on to train world champions Ruslan Chagaev, Anthony Dirrell and Adonis Stevenson.
