UCL: Ramos to start v Chelsea despite missing Osasuna game

Zinedine Zidane left Sergio Ramos out of the squad for Real Madrid’s game with Osasuna. He will be fully fit for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea. The Frenchman has to decide whether to start him or have him on the bench.

Sergio Ramos will soon be returning to the field of play. The defender has been out for a month due to injury, but he will soon be back next week.

He had a very good chance of playing in the league game against Saturday against Osasuna, but Zinedine Zidane decided not to take risks with him and leave him out of the squad.

However, barring a surprise, he will be available at Stamford Bridge, according to ‘AS’. The Spain captain has been training for several days at the same tempo as his teammates and he is ready to return.

The only doubt the French coach has is whether to start him or put him on the bench.

It could all depend on the system Zizou decides to use against Chelsea – two or three central defenders -. What seems certain is that, due to Raphael Varane and Eder Militao’s good form, Nacho Fernandez will be the man to miss out if Ramos starts in a formation with five defenders.
