UCL: Sterling trolls Man United star after Man City’s win

Raheem Sterling has playfully mocked Phil Jones after he was snapped making a funny facial expression during Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick before Phil Foden added a fourth late on to round off a comprehensive win in Croatia.

Following the victory on Wednesday night, Sterling made fun of himself and his Manchester United rival after posting a picture of his face while he took a shot at goal.

Sterling laughed at himself after tweeting a zoomed-in image of his own face with the caption: ‘Phil Jones would be proud.’

Jones has often been the butt of jokes when it comes to the facial expressions he pulls during games.

The United defender revealed earlier this year that he is even taunted by his own friends on WhatsApp for his expressionate face.

However, the 27-year-old insists it is all in good fun and that he is not bothered about it.

‘It’s banter, my mates banter me all the time about it,’ Jones told Goal in March.

‘It is what it is. I’m not too fussed about that either. My mates send me pictures every single night on the WhatApp group taking the mick out of me.
