Update: Osimhen’s Napoli deal still intact, rejects Man Utd, Liverpool 

There is now a new twist in the Victor Osimhen’s transfer saga as information has it that he had completed his Napoli medical and is whittling down the final details of his €80m transfer from Lille.

Omasports chief Oma Akatugba claimed the 21-year-old striker had already undergone his medical tests with the Napoli staff, as he has been in the city for the last few days for intensive negotiations.

They had to start from scratch when Osimhen changed agents midway through the talks, suddenly demanding a much higher salary in exchange for different commissions.

It seems as if the process is now finally nearing its conclusion, regardless of L’Equipe rumours about Liverpool and Manchester City interest.

The last sticking point was image rights, which anyone familiar with Napoli and President Aurelio De Laurentiis will know is a huge obstacle that has often sunk previous done deals.

If that too can be resolved, then the announcement could be this weekend or on Monday.
