Uzoho calls Rohr over loan deal

Super Eagles’ first choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is happy to get a loan deal with Cyprus club, Anorthosis Famagusta.

The elated shot stopper sealed a six-month loan deal from Spanish LaLiga side Deportivo La Coruna on the transfer deadline day (Thursday). Anorthosis are sixth on the table with 27 points from 18 matches.

The Eagles’ Manager revealed to SportingLife.ng that the goalkeeper called him on Thursday transfer deadline day to break the good news to him and was also elated that his number one goalkeeper will have the opportunity of playing regularly with his new club.

“(Francis) Uzoho called me when his loan deal to Anorthosis was to be concluded. He called me and said I am going to play in Cyprus now. I was excited. I told him please go for it. It is a wonderful. Ir is a good news, very good news. I am hopeful he will be number one goalkeeper there. That will be great news for our preparations for the forthcoming Nation Cup too”, Rohr disclosed.
