Erstwhile Super Eagles goalkeeper Peter Rufai has once again voiced his candid opinion on Francis Uzoho, saying the Elche shot-stopper does not have what it takes to mount the Eagles goal post yet.
Rufai told Brila FM on Tuesday after Eagles’ victory over the Mediterranean Knight of Libya in Sfax that the young goalie needs nurturing if he is to make headway in the future.
‘’Uzoho is not good enough to be number one, he’s young and naïve but has lot of time ahead of him in the green and white colours of the National team, said the 55- year-old.
Rufai popularly referred to as Dodo Mayana, also called on the Gernot Rohr led technical department to carefully take another look at the goalkeeping department of the Super Eagles, noting that they are lot of budding talents in the country who can make the goalie department of the senior national team more competitive than it is now.
The Eagles have now gone on a 3 match winning streak and have leap frogged South Africa to top the group with 9 points.
