Uzoho returns to Elche training after injury recovery

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has made a remarkable improvement from the injury he copped that sidelined him from the last senior national team games with South Africa and Uganda after he returned to training session for his Spanish club, Elche on Tuesday.

Uzoho took part in Elche practice session for the first time on Tuesday since he got injured in a Segunda Liga game he played on November 4 against Cadiz in which he conceded five goals and he is in a pole position for a first team return soon.

The goalkeeper trainer of the Super Eagles, Alloy Agu told that Uzoho informed him that he has started training and that he has fully recovered from the injury that kept him out for about four weeks.

“Uzoho started training with his team, Elche yesterday (Tuesday) and I can tell you that he is happy to put behind him injury nightmare behind him,” Agu told

We are also happy to have him back in the fold too because he is a member of the family and we missed him when he didn’t come for our last two games. He is now fit and could make his comeback to his team any moment from now.”
