Uzoho seals six-month loan deal with Cyprus club

Cyprus club, Anorthosis Famagusta, have secured the services of Nigeria goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho on a six-month loan deal from Spanish LaLiga side, Deportivo La Coruna.

The 20-year-old who renewed his contract with the Spanish side last August will be in Cyprus till the end of the season.

“Anorthosis Famagusta, announced the acquisition of Francis Uzoho. The 20-year-old Nigeria international goalkeeper was signed on loan from the Deportivo La Coruña until the end of the season,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

Before this move, Uzoho had spent the first half of the season on loan at the Spanish Segunda B side, Elche where he made just seven league appearances.

With the Super Eagles, the first choice keeper has been has been capped 13 times by Nigeria.

Famagusta used to be the former club of Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi who is now with Turkish side, Buraspor.
