Video: Fans reveals the exact moment that ‘broke’ David De Gea
David de Gea’s performance in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea has resulted in fans looking for the exact moment that ‘broke’ him.
The Manchester United goalkeeper was once regarded as one of the world’s best but mistakes have begun to creep into his game, with this evening’s 3-1 defeat highlighting his fall from grace.
His sharp decline has everyone asking the same question… What happened?
Well, Cristiano Ronaldo happened.

Portuguese superstar Ronaldo put three past Spain at the World Cup back in 2018, with de Gea between the sticks.
While a player of Ronaldo’s quality scoring a hat-trick past you is nothing to be ashamed off, it was the manner of the goals that worried fans.
His second was straight at the 29-year-old who spilled it into the net on the world stage.
David De Gea had one of the best seasons we’ve ever seen from a goalkeeper.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a keeper decline as severly as De Gea has and for it to happen almost overnight ans during his supposed peak years. He went from being insanely good in 17/18 to a shaky, error prone keeper from the World Cup onwards …

I think it's finally time we recall Dean Henderson and bench DDG.

De Gea’s misery began against Chelsea when Olivier Giroud put Frank Lampard’s side ahead just before half time.
His flick caught de Gea off guard which fizzed away from his grasp.
The second half then begun with Mason Mount’s low drive spilling out of his hands to double Chelsea’s lead.
De Gea kept United in the game with string of saves before Harry Maguire’s own goal ended all hopes of a comeback.
