The Reds were confirmed champions last night after Manchester City’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea and some fans immediately thought of pundit Neville.

Neville is well known for his time at Manchester United and had previously stated: “Liverpool could win the league and I might have to move to Papua New Guinea or somewhere!”

Sky Sports remembered the claims and released a video last night titled ‘Where’s Neville?’

In the video, Liverpool legends Graeme Souness and John Barnes cut menacing figures and threaten Sky presenter David Jones as to their colleague’s whereabouts.

Barnes remarks, he has a “particular set of skills” that he’ll use to find Neville and “make fun of him.”

Jamie Carragher then decides to take the search into his own hands.

Neville’s Monday Night Football partner can be seen frantically searching for the 45-year-old in the streets.

After failing to find him, Carragher speaks directly to the camera and declares: “Neville, I’ll find ya.”

The video ends with Neville arriving at the departure lounge of Manchester Airport with a plane ticket straight to Papua New Guinea.

When asked if he is travelling for business or pleasure, Neville bluntly replies “neither.”

The eight-time Premier League winner may still be stuck in Manchester however as an announcement confirms his flight is delayed for four hours.

Carragher wasted no time in celebrating his former side’s triumph despite failing to find Neville.
He took to Twitter and posted a photoshopped image of Neville in a Liverpool shirt popping a bottle of champagne.

Carragher’s celebrations continued on Sky Sports as he spoke to Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

Popping a champagne cork, the 42-year-old yelled: “Jordan, you’re a great professional – but tell me you’re going to get absolutely rotten tonight like me!”

Liverpool have won the title with seven games to spare and return to action on Thursday against Manchester City.
