Following in five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo’s footsteps will be no mean feat, but his eldest son is going about it in the right way.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr emulated his father by destroying the opposition and scoring two brilliant goals for his Juventus youth team.

The 33-year-old forward posted clips of both of his son’s goals on to social media on Sunday afternoon with a heart eyes emoji.

For his first goal Ronaldo Jr, wearing No 7 like his father, received the ball on the right wing under pressure from a defender.

The eight-year-old showed his skills by performing a backheel turn to lose his marker and cut inside.

Heading into the box and with just the goalkeeper to beat he showed the composure of a professional by rolling the ball past the ‘keeper and then passing the ball into an empty net.

While Ronaldo Jr’s first effort highlighted his skills and calmness on the ball, his second demonstrated his impressive shooting technique.

He raced down the right wing and as he headed into the box he unleashed a powerful right-footed strike into the bottom left corner, leaving the ‘keeper with no chance.

Last month Ronaldo revealed his eldest son was not only dreaming of emulating his father but surpassing him.
