Vieira backs Emery to get Arsenal through difficult spell

Despite Arsenal recent string of poor results, former player, Patrick Vieira, is backing Unai Emery to get Arsenal through this difficult spell

“It’s true Arsenal are going through a tough spell. But I haven’t watched all their matches, so I can’t talk about their game.

“They have a coach who is qualified and who works well. When a club is having a difficult time, it’s important to be united. I think he has enough experience to get them through this difficult spell.

“We have to get behind him and give him time to change things. I am not sure a change of manager will fix the problems.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.

Arsenal’s 2019/20 campaign hasn’t exactly got off to a superb start.

The Gunners came close to Champions League football at the back end of the 2018/19 campaign.

But a string of defeats in April and a hammering in the 2019 Europa League final saw the North London outfit once again omitted from Europe’s biggest club competition.

After narrowly missing out on CL football last term, Arsenal fans may have been hoping their club improved this season.

However, despite the big-money addition of Nicolas Pepe and a smattering of over signings, Arsenal are arguably worse than last season.
