W/Cup Qualies: How Algeria spelt Djibouti with goals in Blida
African Champions Algeria appear to be carrying their nations cup form into the world cup qualifiers as they made mincemeat of shoremen of the Red Sea of Djibouti in the qualifiers Thursday.
The Desert Warriors practically went on rampage scoring 8 un-replied goals at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker (El Bouleïda (Blida), a typical one sided encounter from every perspective. Led by Manchester city ace Riyad Mahrez who scored the winning goal at the last nations Cup final in Egypt, the Desert Warriors began the party as early as the 5th minute thanks to I.Slimani who ended up scoring four goals at the last count including a 25th minute penalty.
Mahrez himself was equally on target in the 67th minute. The results earns the warriors the record of scoring the highest number of goals in set of matches played so far.
Other African qualifiers played between Wednesday and Thursday this week ended with maximum of two goals victory, will there be a change as seven matches including Eagles versus Lone stars of Liberia lined up today?
