War against Bantu: Rangers burn calories at the Cathedral

 

Rangers International re-opened training after Christmas break with a bang Wednesday ahead of their two legged playoff against Bantu FC of Lesotho.

The Gbenga Ogunbote tutored side recorded a full house in training with only two players yet to report to camp.  The unnamed players we however gathered gave the technical crew cogent reasons to miss training but are expected to hit camp any moment from now.

The flying Antelopes will face the Lesotho side on the 11 of January in the first leg away with the second leg billed for the 18th in Enugu.

Lobi Stars campaigning in the CAF Champions league equally have a date same day against South African side Mamelodi Sundowns.

Training by both teams could be serving dual purpose as the Nigeria professional Football league is expected to resume January 13 baring last minute change of plans.

Both teams have been getting a lot of support from fans across the country with many urging them to go all out and do the nation proud.

Qualifications for continental outings by both teams rank among achievements recorded in 2018, with Super Falcons victory at the African Women Championship in Ghana and Super Sand Eagles qualification for the World cup in Paraguay also making the list.
