Ghana Coach Otto Addo said his players are not under pressure as he encouraged them to enjoy themselves on the pitch in today’s 2022 World Cup Qualifiers at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
The Black Stars are set to take on the Super Eagles for the second time on five days after goalless draw in Kumasi.
The winner of the encounter will advance to the FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Asian giants Qatar.
Asked if his team is under pressure to win against Nigeria, Otto Addo said: “I have told my players to go and enjoy themselves. I am the coach and will take responsibility for whatever happens. They should just go and
enjoy themselves,” he said.
“We have a good team, we played well in Ghana, we will improve on it, we are here to push more, we are determined.”
The young gaffer also said, playing against Nigeria is a privilege for him and the boys.
“I don’t see myself under pressure, it is a privilege to play Super Eagles in Nigeria, we are not better than Super Eagles and Super Eagles is not better than us.”
“We are here to improve on our game until we are satisfied with our performance and score some goals,” he concluded .
Ghana last played at the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and they are desperate to make a return to the global stage.
The winner of the match will qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later in the year.
