We are going to Addis to win–Ogunbote

Technical adviser of reigning Aiteo cup champions and Nigeria’ sole representative at the 2018/2019 Total/CAF Confederation cup, Rangers International F.C, coach Olugbenga Ogunbote has assured the club’ numerous fans that they were going to Addis Ababa to pick the ticket for the first round of the competition ahead of their host, Defence Force S.C of Ethiopia.

In an exclusive chat, over the weekend in Enugu, the vastly travelled and experienced gaffer said that after watching the Ethiopians play in Enugu and got humbled, he was sure of players doing the needful in the return leg to get the ticket to the next round.

“With the game I saw them play in Enugu, I really don’t see us ending our campaign in Addis Ababa. Yes, they pass the ball well and we also have our strong points which will take us above them when we play at their backyard by the special grace of God. We may have some challenges in personnel registration for the competition but those we have are capable of holding their heads high when the chips are down,” stated Ogunbote who led Sunshine Stars to the semi-finals of CAF Champions league few years back.

Also fielding questions, captain of the side, Okey Odita, said, “We are not expecting an easy match from the Defence Force team but we have what it takes to represent the country creditably. The players are in a good frame of mind to do a good job on the pitch. We shall come back with the ticket for the next round.”

Rangers International F.C is expected to hit the East African nation’ capital of Addis Ababa for the make or break encounter, mid-week, December 5, 2018, taking along a 2-0 first leg advantage into the 35,000 capacity Addis Ababa international stadium.
