Super Eagles Captain Mikel Obi has said the team will strive to win the FIFA World Cup for injured Moses Simon.
Mikel said the team will have to play for the player who traveled with the team to London for further medical examination on his thigh.
“I feel so so sorry for Simon. He has been there during the qualifiers and now he is injured. I think what the team can do for him is to go out there and make him proud. We will play as a team for him and possibly win the trophy.”
The Belgian club KAA Gent forward scored one goal and provided two assists for Nigeria during the qualifiers in a group that had Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia.
