West Ham rule out move for Fellaini despite midfield woes

West Ham have ruled out a move for Marouane Fellaini.

Reports claimed David Moyes was eyeing a third reunion with the big Belgian.

The pair worked together at Everton before Fellaini, 32, followed Moyes to Manchester United.

Despite the manager only lasting 10 months at Old Trafford, Fellaini went on to have six seasons as a Red Devil.

It was claimed they could once again link up but SunSport understands Moyes will NOT be making another move for the Shandong Taishan ace.

However, West Ham has apparently agreed to a deal in principle to sign Gedson Fernandes from Benfica on an 18-month loan without an option to buy.

Fellaini has been playing in the Chinese Super-League since February last year, scoring eight goals in 22 matches.

But the Far East league has now introduced a salary cap which means the midfielder would be forced to take a 75 percent pay cut if he stayed beyond his current deal.

It could encourage the 32-year-old to consider a future back in Europe.
