Why Etebo pulled out of Eagles, Brazil friendly

Nigeria international, Oghenekaro Etebo had to withdraw from tomorrow’s international friendly against Brazil to be with his wife who is expecting the couple’s baby, Sportinglife.ng can reveal.

“That was why he was excused contrary to reports that he was injured or could not get his visa on time,” said the source.

Etebo became the last player to pull out of the friendly which was on Thursday.

Others who pulled out due to injury are skipper Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo, Samuel Kalu and Ola Aina.

Joe Aribo is expected to pair Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield in the absence of Etebo.
