Wikki sign Zubairu as Technical Adviser

As part of efforts to re-position the team ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) new season, the management of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi have signed coach Ali Zubairu as its new Technical Adviser.

The club’s Media Officer, Nasiru Kobi told SportingLife.ng that the club signed Zubairu for one football season which is subject to further review.

Zubairu replaced Bala Nikyu who has been with the club since late 2015.

Until his new appointment, Zubairu was the Chief Coach of Akwa United FC.

In a brief ceremony at the club, Zubairu said he is happy to be with the club and promised to do his
best to bring the club back to its rightful position among the NPFL teams.

He is expected to meet officially with the players when the team resume for new season on Monday.
In a chat with SportingLife, Kobi said the club signed Zubairu based on his experience and his track
record.

“When we look at his working experience and what he promised to do for the club, we concluded that he
is the right man for the job. The new board is serious with the development of the club that is why we
are doing everything to repositioning the team. We have good plans for the team and we are assuring our
teaming fans that the club we do well next season,” Kobi said to SportingLife.ng.
