Nigeria defender Tyronne Ebuehi is in cloud nine after featuring in his first FIFA World Cup game which effectively rules him out of representing his adopted country, Holland in the future.

Ebuehi played his first competitive game for the Eagles as a second half substitute in last Friday’s 2-0 win against Iceland at the Volgograd Arena after featuring in seven friendly matches for Nigeria.

The Benfica of Portugal right back who expressed his happiness on the team’s Twitter handle on Sunday also declared the team’s readiness to conquer Argentina in their final group game on Tuesday.

”I’m so happy to have made my World Cup debut. We have put the last result past us and we are working hard for the next game. It’s the game of our lives,” reads a tweet on the Super Eagles official Twitter handle.

A win against La Albiceleste will send the Super Eagles into the second round regardless of the outcome between Croatia and Iceland in the other group match which will be played simulteanously on Tuesday.

On the other hand a draw will also be enough for Nigeria provided Croatia defeats Iceland.
