Musa who is away in Austria on Pre Season preparation with Leicester of England has remained humbled by
the love and encouragement shown by fans.

This he expressed on Twitter on Thursday after missing out.

“I just want to thank you all for voting. This goal is bigger than me, it has shown the world that Nigeria has quality on the world stage and we look to improve in the future. I am humbled by the love and encouragement. Thank you all again 🙏,” Musa wrote on his Twitter handle.

FIFA nominated Musa’s second goal against Iceland as among the 18 for the goal of the tournament.

However Pavard’s stunning strike in Les Bleus’ second round 4-3 win against Argentina was adjudged the
best.
