After a disappointing World Cup for Super Eagles, English Premier League club side forward, Alexander Iwobi has opted to stay within reach while other footballers including Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Iceland’s Gylfi Sigurdsson and Polish forward Robert Lewandowski, who came out early from the World Cup opt for a lavish vacation.
Iwobi, who went to his first World Cup with Nigeria, appears to have opted for a more less extreme holiday.
Instead of choosing to go for a dip in the swimming pool or head down to the beach, Iwobi opted to go for a ride in a Sand Buggy.
However, Iceland forward Gylfi Sigurdsson got over his World Cup disappointment with Iceland in the best way possible, by getting engaged to Alexandra Helga while in the Bahamas.
The Everton midfielder shared the great news on Instagram, captioning the upload: ‘She said YES’, accompanied with an engagement ring and love heart.
Following Portugal’s exit from the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo has been spending some quality down-time with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and son Cristiano Jnr in Greece.
Ronaldo shared his holiday antics on Instagram, posting a photo of the trio hanging out on a boat in the clear-blue sea, alongside the caption of a heart emoji.
Serbia and United midfielder Nemanja Matic has jetted off to Italy – Forte Village Resort – with his wife Aleksandra Pavic.
Poland forward Robert Lewandowski, who arguably endured the most disappointing time of all at the World Cup with Poland, isn’t taking the off-season lightly.
The Bayern Munich striker has been putting himself through his paces, working hard on his fitness in the gym.
