You have our support, Ronaldo tells injured national teammate 

Portugal skipper Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday sent a social media message to his international teammate, Andre Gomes saying he would bounce back after the horrific injury.

The Portuguese international underwent surgery on Monday after he suffered a horror injury during Everton’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Goodison Park on Sunday. He faces up to one year on the sidelines.

“Andre will have all the support he needs. I am 100% sure he will become stronger as a football player and a man.

“He is a fantastic man and a fantastic professional. Our players are sad but the spirit we showed was a good answer,” said the Juventus star.

He was fouled from behind by Son Heung-min before colliding with Serge Aurier.
