Zidane made football look easy – Moses

Fenerbahce winger, Victor Moses has revealed that he enjoyed watching Zinedine Zidane in his playing days because he made football look easy.

The Nigerian who has only spent less than three weeks with Turkish club Fenerbahce revealed that the French legend  was one of the greatest players of the round leather game.

“He was a great player. His movements in the field were more relaxed and he was confident in playing with the ball,” said Moses to Fenerbahce TV.

Moses was still playing for Crystal Palace when Zidane who won the Champions league as a player and coach with Real Madrid retired from the game after the final of the 2006 FIFA World Cup which France lost in penalties to Italy.

After playing two matches and scoring a goal, Moses has extended his appreciation to the fans for the support and love shown to him since making the switch which he said was partly due to the influence of fellow teammate and colleague, Emmanuel Emenike.

”Everybody is talking about football players. I actually talked to a few players before coming here. It was very good experience. .

”I even talked to two Nigerian players, like Emmanuel Emenike. They talked positively about the club. The history of the club is excellent and I’m happy to be here. ”

The Nigerian who may return to the national team  has been registered for the knockout rounds of the Europa League and will face Zenit Saint Petersburg next Tuesday.
