Zidane releases star-studded UCL squad for Chelsea vs Real Madrid reverse tie
Good news for Real Madrid for their Champions League semi-final return leg this Wednesday against Chelsea. After weeks plagued by injuries, Zinedine Zidane has recuperated three of his most important players.
The least surprising is Ramos’ return, who trained all last week at 100% level and was deliberately left out against Osasuna in order to save himself for the encounter at Stamford Bridge.
Fede Valverde will also be there, who has finally overcome his problems with coronavirus. The medical team at Madrid attended the Uruguayan’s house this Tuesday, where he submitted another PCR test that came back negative.
Alongside the Uruguayan will be Ferland Mendy, who also trained this Monday at the same tempo as his teammates. Zidane could start the Frenchman at LB, although he does have Marcelo available as well, who will also travel to London after completing his electoral duties in Madrid.

Completing the squad list are the academy graduates Miguel Gutierrez, Antonio Blanco and Sergio Arribas. This latter player put on a stunning performance for the Castilla this weekend against Badajoz, scoring two beautifully made goals.
Zidane’s 23-man squad list is as follows: Courtois, Lunin, Altube; Militao, Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Marcelo, Odriozola, Mendy, Gutiérrez; Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, Isco, Arribas, Blanco; Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Vinicius, Mariano y Rodrygo.
