Stephane Sessegnon netted the opening goal of the contest for the visitors after two minutes of action, but the Super Eagles rallied back, with the pair of Victor Osimhen and Samuel Kalu scoring twice in the second half.

Rohr was excited with the response from his players after staging a comeback to claim all three points.

“Benin Republic are good team, we knew what they did in the AFCON but our attitude was good,” Rohr was quoted as saying during the post-match press conference.

“I’m happy with the result, to come back and win. Good to see competitions among the players,” added Rohr, who also found time to applaud the hospitality received by the three-time African champions in the capital of Akwa Ibom.

“We are good everywhere in Nigeria, we had good hospitality in Asaba. But it feels good to be back in Uyo,” he added.
