Nigeria’s senior national team goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa  has praised the concerted efforts of the Super Eagles and Enyimba’s medical teams for his quick return from injury.

Ezenwa only spent less than one week on the sidelines despite twisting his ankle and the goaltender told SportingLife.ng that the medical teams of the People’s Elephant and that of the senior national team worked so hard to make him fit and available for the game with Wikki Tourists on Sunday.

“I want to thank God and also appreciate the work of Enyimba and Super Eagles’ medical teams in ensuring that I recovered quickly from my injury,” Ezenwa told SportingLife.ng.

“Many thought the injury would rule him out for long but I know that it was just a minor injury and that I was substituted in the said game so that I don’t aggravate it. I am fine and alright now.

“I want to thank God for the way I manned the post against Wikki Tourists and the point we got in Jos. We will continue to do our best until we get to the top of the league table.”

Ezenwa put up a commendable Man of the Match performance against Giant Elephants in their goalless draw in Jos and the point earned has taken them to eighth in the league table with 23 points from 15 games.
