Europa League: Iwobi ready for Atletico clash

Arsenal’s Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi has declared his readiness for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg clash against Atletico Madrid.

“You Know What Match It Is Tomorrow ? Lets Go Gunners 🔴⚪💪,” Iwobi wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. He posted a picture of him training for the clash which will be played at the Emirates this evening.

Iwobi has registered two assists in this competition from six appearances.

The return leg is for next week Thursday at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.

Winning the Europa League would be the  Gunners only chance of getting back to the Champions League after a disappointing season.

It will also serve as a befitting farewell for manager Arsene Wenger who will end his 22-year stay with the club at the end of the season.
