Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has confessed that it would be impossible for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to stop Argentina’s Lionel Messi when both countries square up in their last group game at the FIFA World Cup in Russia on June 26.

He has described Messi as a player who comes from a different planet.

”Argentina team is very good, for me I will say Messi is unstoppable. He is the best player in the world.

”We just have to try and win, give it all in our first two games before we face Argentina,”Ndidi told FIFA World Cup Russia Magazine.

The Leicester of England midfielder said they must win Croatia and Iceland to reduce the pressure when they face the Argentines.

Nigeria open their World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 16 before clashing against Iceland six days later.

Argentina have always defeated Nigeria since the three-time Africa champions made their debut at the 1994 World Cup.

It would be recalled that Messi single handedly qualified Argentina for the World Cup after scoring a hat-trick against Ecuador which ended 3-1 in the last round of the South American fixtures last October.

The Super Eagles face  Democratic Republic of Congo in Nigeria on May 28, England, June 2 and three days tackle Czech Republic in Austria in their remaining friendlies before flying to Russia.
