With just 48 days remaining to the beginning of the Russia 2018 World, Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has declared that the Nigerian national team is not ready yet for the mundial.

“We’re not ready yet but we will be ready” Rohr stated in an inetrview with SportingLife.ng in Lagos.

The German said he was helpless due to the inability of the players to train together for a longer period because of club engagements adding that the maximum he had spent with the team since he took over as a coach about two years ago was three days.

Rohr was however confident that the team will be ready for the mundial after the players must have gone through the three weeks camping porogramme he has proposed to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

“You know we didn’t make it to the last Nations Cup which would have given us the opportunity to train as a team for at least one month.

“I have told the NFF that it’s important to have three weeks of camping to help the team improve in the defence, midfield, attack and the goalkeeping departments”
