The Flying Eagles were on Wednesday held to a goalless draw by Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Katsina United in a friendly game at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

The Nigeria U-20 side who used the game to prepare for their upcoming Africa U-20 qualifying match against Guinea Bissau created more scoring opportunities.

CHAN Eagles and U-20 striker Peter Eneji came close on three occasions and should have converted the second, but he was denied by Katsina keeper, Yinka David.

Katsina United also threatened through Tasiu Lawal.

The team are camped in Abuja and should leave for Guinea Bissau next week for the first leg.

Guinea Bissau who upset Sierra Leone to qualify for this round of the qualifying tournament, will host the Flying Eagles between May 11 and 13 with the return leg in Nigeria a week later.
