CAF Confederation Cup: USM storm Enugu for Rangers aboard Chartered flight

Algeria side, USM Bel Abbes will touch down in Enugu on a chartered flight from Algiers 6am on Friday ahead of the crunch CAF Confederation Cup first round, second leg tie billed for the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.

USMBA dominated in the first leg played in the city of Abbes last weekend but they were unable to make it count after they were stopped by the fantastic form of Ghanaian goalkeeper,Nana Bonsu who made series of saves to deny the Algerians.

Enugu Rangers will advance to the final round if they are able to beat USMBA at the end of the 90 minutes in Enugu on Sunday but they will be wary of the Algerians who know that a score draw will see them pick the next round ticket ahead of the Flying Antelopes.

Media aide of Enugu Rangers, Nobert Okolie told SportingLife.ng that they have been informed that USMBA will land straightaway from Algeria to Enugu in a private flight in the early hours of today and they are 35 man contingent.

“USM Bel Abbes will arrive Enugu tomorrow (today) by 6am through a chartered flight. They are 35 persons that will be on that plane,” Okolie told SportingLife.ng.

“We are confident that we are going to get the needed result that will take us to the next round of the competition irrespective of their antics. We are prepared very well for this and nothing can stop us.”

USMBA defeated Liberian opposition, LISCR 4-1 on aggregate to set up a date with Enugu Rangers while the Flying Antelopes edged Defence Force of Ethiopia 5-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round of the second tier club competition.
