Xhaka dusts Aubameyang, Lacazette to emerge Arsenal captain
GRANIT XHAKA has been named the new captain of Arsenal after topping a player vote.
The Swiss international has been the leading contender following the exit of France international, Laurent Koscielny
Gunners boss Unai Emery decided to allow his players to vote on who should captain them.
He has beaten off competition from the likes of Bernd Leno, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and David Luiz to get the job.
The Swiss international has captained the side at times in the past, but will now take over the role on a full-time basis.
