The England starlet, who remains a £120million target for Chelsea this summer, became the top-scoring Bundesliga teenager of all time earlier this month.

The 19-year-old has notched an incredible 12 goals and 13 assists from 18 matches this season, to help Borussia Dortmund to third in the Bundesliga.

CIES Football Observatory have collected a list of football’s most in-form players based on ‘pitch production and efficiency at both individual and collective level’.

And Sancho is the undisputed top dog with an astonishing 99 rating for his performances during the last month.

The former Manchester City star has more than bounced back from a dip at the start of the season that saw him fined and publicly reprimanded for turning up late to training from England duty.

Even with the rankings stretched to the last three months, Sancho still remains in the top-five for the most in-form players at a 91.1 level.

Teammate Axel Witsel and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, who has kept nine Premier League clean sheets out of ten, make up the current top three.

The Brazilian’s fellow Anfield stars Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson are also both rewarded for the Reds’ recent form as well.

Marco Verratti, who is joint ninth in the most recent rankings, is actually the most efficient over the entire season, with a 92.3 percent score during the last six months.

But both Messi and Ronaldo find themselves clocking outside the top ten on both lists, with the Argentine currently down at 203rd with a lowly 78.3 rating.

The Barcelona icon is paying the price for the Catalan’s recent poor form that has escalated into a public bust-up with sporting director Eric Abidal.

Messi has managed four goals since the turn of the year but Quique Setien’s side have slipped three points behind Real Madrid in La Liga.

The 32-year-old, who won his sixth Ballon d’Or title last December to take him one ahead of Ronaldo, does jump up to joint 18th over the whole season however.

Juventus superstar Ronaldo meanwhile has scored 10 goals in his first six games of 2020 to fire the Old Lady back to the top of Serie A.

But it was only enough to take the Portgual captain to 22nd in the rankings, a slight dip from the joint 15th he places over the season.
